More specifically, the core of the LAUFFER lamination system is generally composed of two hydraulic presses. The hot press is in most cases heated by thermal oil and the cold press is cooled down by water. The hot press it able to partially, or entirely, cool down the products, either before product transfer to cold press if required by the material type, or in the event the cold press in unavailable. CA PICARDIt makes top-quality lamination tools, called “cassettesâ€, in special steel alloys which ensure accuracy and long service life.
These cassettes are composed of a closing plate and a base plate with holes or locking parts allowing for the manual or automatic handling of rolling systems. The stack retaining parts are usually placed so as to keep the products in place in the cassette (ex: spring loaded angles).
For the lamination of multilayer printed circuit boards (PCB' s), CA PICARD manufacture tools with the most accurate registration systems, including round or slotted pins, with replaceable bushing. Therefore all layers of the product get the best possible position in relation to each other.
