The current evolution towards advanced technology makes lamination a central process, combining the various characteristics of materials and equipment. Needing efficient equipment as well as top-quality consumables, lamination is the core of your profession. The chain of products to manufacture gives the quality level of your products – if one of the parts is weak, the whole service suffers the consequences. With WINSIDE, we can guarantee top-quality products satisfying nearly all of the increasingly demanding requests of our clients.
Representing the LAUFFER PRESSEN company for many years, we know the essential parameters to laminate your multilayer circuits and other laminated products. Press frame and press plates geometry, accuracy and uniformity of the temperature and pressure, vacuum, quality of control and setting system, and tool quality are all the most important factors to succeed, independently from the material used. Thanks to an accurate check of all these parameters, the flatness of the circuits, the polymerization of prepegs, as well as the adhesion of layers amongst themselves, are optimal and guarantee you the manufacturing of excellent products. The LAUFFER PRESSEN company continues to innovate, developing a fast cure lamination system – the SL 80-2. Designed for small series, this press guarantees you homogeneous lamination, a part-by-part process and therefore a larger flexibility, and an accelerated pressing time as it takes 6 to 10 minutes compared to over one hour for traditional presses.
To avoid any resin adhesion on the tools, checking the temperature increase, ensuring a homogeneity for the heat diffusion and a uniform pressure on the circuits being laminated, WINSIDE developed a release agent product range answering these needs: WINDEM (release agent film) and WINMAT (pressing mat). We also propose a product range for the flex-rigid circuits as well as the holes through WINFLEX.
To stack your inner layers, there are two solutions:
the standard method which consists in using registration pins to guarantee the alignment of all layers in the same product. Use VEITH or CA PICARD pins or slugs, depending on the tool design.
the method developed by PIERGIACOMI, which consists of punching, aligning and then bonding the layers amongst themselves using IPM60 and AMM20 machines. This equipment may be completed by the DAL 10 distributor, along with the AMM20, which allows you to avoid any errors in your stacking thanks to a setting at the opening of the various racks containing pregs and thin layers. This method allows the use of very simple lamination tools, as there is no longer a need of registration system.
NAN YA
Using NAN YA material is a guarantee of quality for your clients:
A world leader, producing a large volume of all types of laminations as well as all the necessary thickness, NAN YA is qualified to work with the largest manufacturers as well as holding the major certifications used in the world. Our range goes from 0.05 mm to 3.2 mm, double sided 12 microns to 210 microns in standard Tg and high Tg, using dicyandiamide resins, without dicyandiamide, and halogen-free.
LAUFFER PRESSEN
This company was created more than 140 years ago and is one of the world leaders in making lamination equipment. LAUFFER PRESSEN designs and manufactures a comprehensive range, from laboratory presses to entirely automatic systems, including multiple presses.
The formats of these plates and number of openings (floors) depend on the products and the volumes to manufacture. Depending on the nature of the products, the heating and cooling down cycles may be carried out in the same press, or in separate presses (this second configuration allows to radically reduce the cycle times and to save energy). The LAUFFER laminating presses integrate the latest developments in terms of efficiency and energy consumption (most often heating by thermal oil), with maximum temperatures of about 450°. The use of vacuum, fitted on nearly all LAUFFER presses, results in excellent quality products, with a minimum amount of waste.
Various peripheral systems (automation, transport, work stations) are available and contribute to the user-friendly aspect of LAUFFER equipment.

Using CA PICARD tools (transport panels, insets, pressing die) reinforce these characteristics and allow you to appreciate these LAUFFER presses.
CA PICARD develops its own plates in special alloy steel with reliable hardness, giving it a long service life (no deformation). CA PICARD tools are usually manufactured following clients’ specifications, with very strict manufacturing limits. CA PICARD also ensures the maintenance and renovation of old tools (flattening, resurfacing, replacement of registration (bushing)... if needed). The CA PICARD separating rings are also manufactured following clients’ specifications with very hard steel grade and extremely precise limits, giving a long service life much appreciated by clients.

PIERGIACOMI
PIERGIACOMI is an innovative Italian manufacturer which develops a range of machines used to prepare lamination of multilayer circuits
DAL10: Distributor of additional material for the AMM20, it aims at facilitating the stacking operations and reducing the error rate. The shutters in front of each drawer are programmable and there is a cell which notes the output of each format to control the closing of the shutter and the opening of the next (action by a pneumatic cylinder). A manually set, inner guiding/jogging system allows to adapt to each format.
IPM60: Punching machine after engraving to make holes by drilling or punch, used to accurately stack the different inner circuit layers. Each drilling or punching heard has a CDD camera and the analysis program compensates any deformations, extensions or possible restraints, to optimize the finished hole positioning.
AMM20: Heat sealing machine. The different circuit layers already punched, are stacked on this machine with the intended preg plates for stacking. A set of heated peens press and assemble the already-made package which will then be laminated in a press. The temperatures and contact time are set (and may be memorized) according to the materials and their thickness.
